Good Paper: A Font That Feels Like a Handwritten Note

There’s something about the way Good Paper looks on a label that makes me pause. It’s not just a font—it’s a feeling, a vibe, a whisper of warmth that turns a simple design into something special. I was working on a set of candle labels for my small shop, and I needed something that felt personal, yet professional. That’s when I reached for Good Paper. It’s a sans serif font with a soft, friendly edge, and it brought just the right amount of charm to my project.

A Font with Personality

Good Paper is more than just a typeface—it’s a style. It has that gentle, approachable look that feels like a handwritten note from a friend. The curves are smooth but not too rounded, and the spacing gives it a clean, modern feel without being too clinical. It’s the kind of font that works well in both digital and print formats, which is a huge plus for someone who designs both online templates and physical products.

I’ve used Good Paper for everything from wedding invitations to tote bag tags. It’s versatile enough to handle short phrases and longer text, and its readability makes it perfect for product labels, packaging, and even social media graphics. Whether I’m creating a printable wall art design or testing a sticker sheet, Good Paper always seems to fit seamlessly into the mix.

From Labels to Invitations

One of my favorite uses for Good Paper has been on birthday invitations. I recently designed a set for a local boutique, and I wanted the text to feel welcoming and warm. Good Paper did exactly that. Its friendly curves and open shapes made the invitation feel like a hand-written message, which was exactly what the client wanted.

For packaging, I’ve used Good Paper on boutique tags and product labels. It adds a touch of elegance without being too formal. I’ve also paired it with a simple serif font for headings and a bold display font for titles. This combination creates a nice contrast while keeping the overall design cohesive and easy to read.

Readability Matters

When designing for small stickers or product labels, readability is key. Good Paper holds up well in these situations, especially when printed at smaller sizes. I’ve tested it on various cutting machines, and it cuts cleanly without any issues. For digital downloads, I make sure to include multiple file formats and weights so that users can choose the best option for their needs.

It’s also important to consider how the font will look on different backgrounds. Good Paper works beautifully on light-colored paper and white backgrounds, but I’ve found that it still maintains its charm on darker tones as well. This flexibility makes it a great choice for a wide range of creative projects.

Pairing with Other Fonts

Font pairing is an art form, and Good Paper pairs well with a variety of other styles. When I need a bit more structure, I often pair it with a clean sans serif font like Montserrat or Lato. For a more elegant look, I might use a simple serif font like Georgia or Cinzel. If I want to add some flair, I’ll go with a script or handwritten font like Great Vibes or Pacifico.

For display purposes, I’ve used Good Paper alongside a bold display font for headings and titles. This contrast helps draw the eye and adds visual interest to the design. It’s all about finding the right balance between readability and style.

Designing with Confidence

Before I start using a font for commercial projects, I always check the included styles, alternates, ligatures, swashes, weights, and file formats. Good Paper comes with a range of options that make it suitable for both print and digital use. It also supports multilingual characters, which is a big plus if I’m working on international projects.

Knowing that Good Paper is a commercial font means I can confidently use it for my shop’s branding, printables, and digital downloads. It’s a reliable choice that fits well with my brand identity and helps create a consistent look across all my products.

The Final Touch

Whether I’m printing labels, designing invitations, or creating printable wall art, Good Paper has become a staple in my design toolkit. It brings a sense of warmth and personality to every project, and I love how it enhances the overall aesthetic of my handmade goods. It’s a font that feels like a conversation, not just a design element.
